The trusses crew worked diligently on the 2nd truss and finished it! Tomorrow will be the last truss!
After working all day we got back to the house and had only 45 minutes to shower and get ready for youth group. It was crazy but God blessed us and we were all able to get ready with only 3 showers! We stopped by subway for dinner and then went back to church for youth group. There was about 20 youth who showed up and at first everyone was shy and did not talk much. Rubi had us play a fun get to know you game and soon our students were laughing and connecting to the youth of the church. This was an awesome night of fellowship! There were a few youth who came who had never come to church before! After bonding for about an hour we played the courageous movie in Spanish (with English subtitles). The movie seemed to move a lot of hearts and our students passed out Bibles to everyone. It was hard to say goodbye but we exchanged contact information and we hope to spend some time with some of the youth tomorrow! Pray that we can be used by God to love and encourage the youth tomorrow! Pray for those students who can who have never been to church that they would come back on Sunday morning!

ReplyDeletePraising God for the excellent opportunity that each had to pour into the lives of the youth. It is always amazing to see God reach across cultural barriers to bring His people together. May you have many more opportunities to reach out. Blessings to you all! Hugs and kisses to Rachel! And, no, there is no package. I was just playin' with you.
