The Gang is All Here!

It has been a long time coming, but the team is all together here at Los Almendros de Ocotal. The trip was full of memorable experiences which you will certainly here about for weeks to come. Among them: 1) temporarily misplaced luggage; 2) meeting someone famous at LAX; 3) someone stepping through a doorway into Mexico - saved by Miss Bolling; 4) clearing out all the sandwiches at the airport 7-11 in Mexico City; 5) and, we almost forgot our tools from baggage claim at the Alajuela Airport in Costa Rica.

Once in Costa Rica, it was only minutes from airport to Hotel Mi Tierra. The typical Costa Rican breakfast at the hotel was great, and after dropping of Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Lambert at the car rental and a quick trip to Walmart, we were off on the bus toward the coast.

The drive offered the team the opportunity to take in some beautiful sights, including monkeys and parrots, and several hours later we arrived at Los Almendros de Ocotal. After unloading the bus and getting ourselves somewhat settled, we took a quick walk to the shoreline to see the sunset, get our feet wet, and pray a prayer of thankfulness. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips arrived and quickly found us on the beach in time to pray with us. We returned to the house and fired up the briquettes to prepare dinner. It is now after 10 p.m. here, and everyone is packing it in for the night - we have a lot to do tomorrow. We thank you for your prayers. Good night.
